My name is Pat Harland and I help people to significantly change their lives, overcome obstacles and hurdles, end their fears, phobias and anxieties for good.
Having been in practice since 2004 I also present seminars on treating Children’s Problems to teach other therapists how to be with children in their own practices in accordance with the principles of the Thrive Programme. Presenting training courses and doing talks for groups, charities and organisations is something I love to do and in addition working with Companies and Corporate bodies with regard to stress/anxiety/pressure in the workplace and the loss of man hours in relation to the symptoms and problems which ensue from that.
The Thrive organisation was set up by Rob Kelly in 2009, drawing upon the experience and expertise of both his 25 years in practice together with a very solid research foundation which underpins the creation of Thrive
I am dedicated to the professional and ethical use of The Thrive Programme and as such continually update my knowledge, mentoring other Thrive Consultants. This also means that I abide by the Licencee requirements and Code of Practice and Ethics of the highest standard as laid down by the Thrive organsiation.
All Thrive Programme Consultants have undergone an extensive course of training and have satisfied their examination board of their competence in the field of Psychotherapy and delivering the Thrive Programme client training process.
I love learning and developing and am committed to an ongoing programme of personal development in the field of evidence based psychotherapeutic interventions and attend regular training seminars. Subjects which I specialise in are the treatment of fears and phobias, social anxiety, stress, nervous and emotional disorders and emetophobia for children, teenagers and adults and I am one of a very small handful of people within the north west trained to apply this type of programme. Since 2006 I have regularly supervised and mentored other therapists which is something I really enjoy and in 2012 I was awarded the privilege of becoming a Thrive Consultant Trainer which means I can train other qualified Thrive Consultants and trainee Thrive Consultants. In 2015 I was very proud to be named ‘Thrive Consultant of the Year 2014’!
A Potted History!
Having grown up on Wirral, my Husband and I have recently re-
My hobbies include swimming and gym exercise together with reading and challenging myself to learn new things. One of these new things includes learning how to play the drums with Liverpool Drum Academy in 2014 and now I am very excited to have become a member of the Katumba Bloco Samba drumming troupe. We regularly perform up and down the country and abroad. My technique is improving all of the time! As of July 2015 I have joined a running group which is an amazement to me having not done any running since 1973!
Since October 2013 I have been working in Chester and Liverpool City Centre and it is so good to be back home, although we enjoyed our three decades away in Morecambe, Gloucester and latterly beautiful Hereford, we wouldn’t change those experiences for anything. Recently I have also secured an office in Oxton, Birkenhead.
I am enthusiastic and passionate about the benefits that the Thrive Programme can bring to the vast majority of people. I truly believe that the Thrive Programme can help you learn how to help yourself and is the best, most predictable learning programme you will come across. I can teach you how to generate the motivation and make the changes you need to in order to overcome those hurdles in life and help turn you into a better person and get on the road to health, happiness and success.
