Teenagers can choose the future that they want for themselves and it would be really helpful for them to learn how to do this without angst and frustration, worry or self doubt. They are rapidly heading towards independent living and freedom. Teenagers need to develop coping skills in order to deal with the new and the unexpected, not least with their physical, emotional and social changes.
Do you feel that your teen is under pressure to conform or fit in and is in danger of being led down the wrong path? Teens can experience conflict in lots of areas and this can result in mental health issues, self harm, drug and or alcohol abuse, eating disorders, behaviour problems, social withdrawal and anxiety, fears, phobias, stress, panic, obsessions and compulsions, unwanted habits, low self esteem and so much more.
As a parent you wouldn’t want to see your child struggling with teenage life, all the stresses and strains of relationships, family expectations, education, fears for the future. All of this tends to hold them back when you now they can fly and be the best that they can be.
Confidence building, how to become resilient and value yourself together with the art of effective communication isn’t often part of your child’s education, they have to learn those soft skills by trial and error and sadly most don’t get that opportunity. That is where this workshop can help fill the gap in their skill set. Once your teen understands how much responsibility they can take for their own actions, how to get back in control, manage their thoughts and feelings and how not to let others unduly influence them, by default all of your lives become much easier.
